      How To Export Your CAD as STEP From Siemens.

      In this article, we'll go through how to export your CAD data from Siemens as STE,P ready to upload into the platform.

      If you encounter any problems, please reach out to our team, and we can find a solution that best fits your data. 

      ⚠️  Please do not ignore errors in your CAD when exporting. Please fix any errors you encounter within your CAD before attempting to export and upload into Partful. Ignored errors can lead to missing parts, or processing errors in the platform.

      STEP


      1. Open your assembly in Siemens NX.
      2. Navigate to File → Export
      3. In the first Tab ‘Files’ 
      4. Choose STEP 214 
      5. Choose your preferred location to export your file to. 
      6. Choose your preferred name for your file.
      7. Click OK to set your name and location
      8. Click ‘Data to Export’ Tab
      9. Export
        1. Curves
        2. Sheets
        3. Solids
        4. Facet Bodies
        5. Coordinate systems
        6. PMI
      10. Click OK to export.
