Keyframes

Keyframes are points in time at which you save the location, rotation, and opacity of a part or group of parts, the software animates automatically between keyframes.

You use the time between the keyframes to determine how long the animation duration lasts.

Add a Keyframe

To add a keyframe, position the part or group of parts in the start position, select the time you want the animation to begin on the timeline, and click “Save Keyframe”.

To add another keyframe, move the marker on the timeline, move the part or group of parts, and click “Save Keyframe” again.

Workful automatically creates the animation from the first keyframe to the last.

Camera

The camera can be animated using the frames the same way parts are animated. To do this, choose the start camera position, the zoom level, and the angles.

If only choosing one position, the camera won’t animate, but the position will be the chosen one. If you add another keyframe, the camera will animate between the two positions.

More keyframes can be added to control the camera in more ways.

Opacity

Opacity is stored against a keyframe. If you add a keyframe at 0 seconds, set the opacity to 50%, it will stay at 50% opacity during that step. If you were to add a keyframe at 3 seconds and set the opacity to 100%, over the 3 seconds, it will animate the opacity from 50 to 100%.

Hiding

Single or multiple parts can be hidden using the hide icon against each part; if a part is hidden, it will not be displayed during the step.

Highlighting

Single or multiple parts can be highlighted for the viewer by toggling the bulb icon on/off against each part
